Cornelian stone cameos. Motifs: Representation of two muses.
These earrings are stylistically modelled on the “poissardes”, which were initially worn by fishermen’s wives in France from around 1790. These “fishwives” played an important role in the French Revolution. This type of earring is therefore still legendary today.
